About Vodafone

Vodafone was established in 1983 when The Racal Electronics Group won a bid for the private sector UK cellular license. It was recognised as the world’s largest mobile network in 1987 and in 1989 Paknet was formed as a joint venture between Racal Telecom and Cable and Wireless.

In 1991, Racal and Vodafone de-merged and the Vodafone group was listed as an independent company on the London and New York stock exchange.

With their headquarters still based in Newbury in London, the company is still one of the biggest mobile networks in the world. Priding themselves on reliable signal and great deals, Vodafone is still a very popular brand within the UK.

Pay-as-you-go users can top up their phone in stores, over the phone, online or use the My Vodafone app straight to your phone. You can even text to top up from your Vodafone device and even get an automated top up either weekly or monthly.

Giving you unlimited messages, calls and picture messages while you’re away, on top of your usual monthly 4G data allowance. That is applicable to over 40 European countries.

Vodafone will let you upgrade 60 days early before the end of your contract with the Red or Red Value bundle and 30 days early for the standard bundle.
