About Currys

Currys is a British electrical store in the UK. They are owned by Dixons Carphone. Currys has 295 superstores and 73 high street stores selling household electronics and household appliances.

Currys was founded in 1884 by Henry Curry. He began making and building phones in Lester and opened up his own store to sell them. He opened up his first shop in 1888 at 271 Belgrave Gate. In 1897, Currys was put on proper financial footing when curry joined a partnership with his sons calling themselves C. Currys and Sons. The company took off and got onto the stock exchange in 1927.

After being taken over by Dixons, Currys was merged with carphone warehouse making Dixon carphone. In 2014 they merged the retailers Currys and PC world together making all stores PC world and Currys.

Yes, you can, as long as it is within the 14 days cooling off period if the package has been opened and 21 days if the package is still sealed. You can return an unwanted item online or in store providing, you have the receipt as proof of purchase. A bank statement will or an online sales invoice will also be accepted a proof of purchase depending on how you paid.
