Shopping at Argos

Argos sell a vast range of products. You name it, they probably sell it. They publish catalogues twice a year, in spring/summer and autumn/ winter editions. Catalogue editions tend to have around 1500 pages containing pictures of the products, a description of the product, prices and the catalogue number.

Simply decide the item you wish to purchase and take it to the cashier to pay. From there you will be given a ticket number on your receipt. You should wait for your number to be called. Once your item has been delivered from the stockroom your number will be called and you can collect your item.

The home catalogues are exactly the same as the ones in store except for the ones in store are laminated. Argos extra is an Argos store that is similar to a normal store, but it offers customers the chance to order-in extra items. They look like normal Argos stores but they have an extra sign on it to let customers know it is an Argos extra store. Anything ordered from their stores will take around 3 to 5 working days to arrive.

Argos introduced the Argos shopping card to help customers pay for products. To begin using the Argos credit shopping card all you need to do is shop as you normally would. Can I return my item to Argos?
Yes, you can. As long as it is within the 30 days cooling off period. Just head into your local Argos store and let them know that you wish to return it. Argos also offers to pick certain items up from your home or receive returns via post depending on the item you wish to return.

What is proof of purchase?
Proof of purchase is a receipt you got when you purchased your item, a confirmation email, e-mail receipt of your item or your order number. Anything else is not proof of purchase and without these, you will not be able to return your product.

When will my product be delivered?
To find out when your item will be delivered you need to check your proof of purchase (receipt or email confirmation) which will have the delivery date on there.

How do I know my online order has gone through okay?
Once you have completed a payment successfully, an order number will show up at the top of the screen. You should keep this number safe in case anything may happen. You should then  receive a confirmation email. If you are still not sure if your payment has gone through then you can always head over to your account and view recent orders that should have your item in there. Can I return my item if there is something wrong with it?
Yes, if you have had it for 30 days then you can take the product in with your proof of purchase and let a member of staff know what has happened. If it has passed the 30 days mark but you have had it less than one year then Argos will assess what is wrong with the product. They may be able to arrange for free repairs, send it to an engineer or get a full refund depending on the situation.
